Kaylin and I have been celebrating our birthdays for several days now. Kaylin's birthday was Thursday and mine was today. For lunch on Thursday, Kaylin wanted high tea. How could I say, "no"?
Mike came home from work a little early with flowers for the birthday girl.
Then on Saturday morning, we had her friends over for a swimming party. A few hours later, Mike's parents came over to celebrate for the rest of the day. We swam, BBQed and opened gifts.
|If you know of my love for Krispy Kreme, you will understand how hilarious it is that my in laws wrapped these for me.|
|Kaylin has finally discovered American Girl Dolls - just in time for Saige, the red-haired cover doll.|
Then yesterday, Mike took me out for a movie and a great dinner out. This morning, he came home from the gym with flowers, my sweet friends took me to breakfast while my mom babysat, then I proceeded to have a wonderfully lazy day that ended with my mom making us all dinner.
Sometime this weekend, we played around with false mustaches. Our family picture was so random that it might be our Christmas card this year! Because everyone smiling pretty for the camera just gets boring after a while.
That's it - a busy birthday week and weekend. I was showered with birthday wishes through text, email, phone calls and on Facebook. It was lovely! But thanks to Ryan's card, I officially feel old.
