Our Christmas Card Picture

I got this great idea for our Christmas card back in February when I found out I was pregnant. The mom of a pre-school classmate of Ryan's had nativity costumes that she had used for her Christmas cards last year and I begged to borrow them.
.
Knowing that the holidays always fly by, I set the stage to take the picture in early November. I set up a sheet for a backdrop, dressed the kids and started snapping.
.
The kids weren't into it at all.

Ryan kept leaving the scene...

My battery ended up dying on me after several pictures, so I gave the kids a break, recharged for a little bit and rearranged where the kids were placed for the new round of pictures.
.
Kaylin's shall wouldn't stay wrapped and Ryan refused to wear his for most of the photo shoot.

Poor "Baby Jesus" kept flopping out of the "manger," so I had to rescue him a few times...

Then he needed to eat, so Mike got a few pictures of just "Mary and Joseph." Ryan was less than cooperative.

In this one, both kids look like they're passing gas.

Trying to get just the right picture is always such an exhausting experience. After 120 pictures, I had two decent ones to choose from. TWO.
.
This was the runner up...

And this was our grand prize winner...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I don't know if I've mentioned this before (although I'm sure plenty of other people have), but Ryan looks sooooooo much like his Daddy!

Merry Christmas to you all. Much love from across the pond!
